WEEK 8 PROJECT 2: PHOTO IMAGING POSTER DESIGN
Photo Imaging Poster - MyTiger Values
Title: Flames for Change
Description:
The poster portrays a tiger standing on a boulder in the darkness, with a forest engulfed in flames and thick smoke behind it. Forest wildfires are fueled by climate change, human activities, and natural causes. These fires result in the loss of habitat for countless plant and animal species, disrupt the delicate balance of biodiversity, and release large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, contributing to climate change (SDG 13). In line with SDG 15, it is crucial to address the issue of forest fires and promote actions such as halting deforestation, restoring degraded forests, and increasing afforestation and reforestation efforts. Sustainable practices can protect biodiversity, mitigate climate change, and ensure the long-term well-being of ecosystems and communities.

My Progression
Step 1: Research and gather all related information about my topic.
Below are my 3 poster references:
Step 2: Generate a title and summary the keypoints.
Title: Flames of Change
Summary:
A forest burns with flames and thick smoke conveys the devastating consequence of uncontrolled wildfires: the loss of habitat for forest-dwelling animals. These fires, fueled by climate change, human activities, and natural causes, ravage ecosystems by destroying vegetation, trees, and critical habitats, disrupting the delicate balance and jeopardizing the survival of countless species. This poster will urging us to address the underlying factors contributing to these fires and promote sustainable forest management practices. By aligning with SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), we can mitigate the impact of forest fires, protect biodiversity, and work towards a sustainable future that safeguards our forests and their vital role in combating climate change.
Step 3: Sketch my mock-up poster
Below are my sketches:
Below are my drafts:
Draft 1
Draft 2
For adjustment, I try to find some tutorials on YouTube to learn how to make the flames more realistic. While I also try to make some edits to the tiger's color fill to emphasize its existence. For the smoke, I downloaded the Free Smoke Photoshop Brushes 6 online and use the brush tool to draw it, which is better than direct use the online sources of smoke.png.
